Hello again, friends.<\/p>\n

It's been a while since I've posted on the blog but as always - it feels good to be back. I know that many people say that blogs have been dead since videos have taken over, but in my traditionalist nature I think I will always have a special place in my heart for my blog and can't let it go.<\/p>\n

There's been a huge gap in posting and a couple changes, so I thought I'd lay it all out here in one blog post.<\/p>\n

I recently had a change in social media handles since my original Instagram account (@la.vita.vivi) got deleted back in late August-early September - I can't remember the exact date. I think I've compartmentalized that period in the \"survival mode\" box in my mind and will be keeping it there for my sanity's sake. In case you weren't already following, my new Instagram<\/a><\/span> handle is @viv.hana. I updated my TikTok<\/a><\/span> and LIKEtoKNOW.it<\/a><\/span> handles to @viv.hana as well to keep everything uniform (these are still the original accounts). I also started a Youtube channel<\/span><\/a> recently where I upload weekly vlogs of my daily life at home, kitten content, and more.<\/p>\n

Now with all these updates...I've got to be honest that all of the changes initially felt overwhelming. Although I didn't have a ton of followers on my original account, I still felt like the couple years I spent trying to build it up went to waste. I know this sounds ridiculous and trivial since it's social media, but just the fact that I had to start this \"whole thing\" over from scratch made me feel so defeated. It didn't take me long to bounce back though. In a way I had unknowingly forced myself to keep going since I created my new account while I was trying to get my old account back. I realized that I did not want to let this setback deter me from continuing with what I originally would have done if this didn't happen. It's about the practice of continuing on and as Wes says, \"powering through\".<\/p>\n

To be really honest I also felt like with my old account, I cared so much<\/em> about the number of followers and I didn't grow as much then somehow (...?) - whereas currently I feel like the pressure has been taken off in a way that I couldn't have foreseen and the followers are now \"staying\" (...?). And while my content is still outfit inspiration and easy recipes essentially, I now feel more connected to what I'm creating and sharing. I feel a new wave of excitement every time I shoot content and figure out ways to share my favorite things with you all. Vlogging has been really fun too and in a way....it's been kind of sweet to look back at the mundane, \"boring\" parts of my daily life with appreciation and gratitude.<\/p>\n
