I feel like the recent trend in beauty is to have the latest high-end products, even if our wallets might shed a tear (or lots) while doing it. I have to say that I’m guilty of wanting everything up and coming, especially in the lifestyle blogging space. When I revisited my makeup collection however, I realized how many drugstore products I still use and love. So with that babes, I’m going to share with you my tried and true besties\u00a0that have been there with me since I started wearing makeup, in addition to my newly discovered drugstore beauty loves.<\/p>\n

BASE<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. NYX\u00a0\\\\ ANGEL VEIL PRIMER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Since my skin is combination-oily, I was a little hesitant to try a primer that would illuminate my face from the very beginning. I’m glad to report that this gives just the right amount of glow without making you look oily throughout the day.<\/p>\n

2. REVLON \\\\ COLORSTAY FOUNDATION<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

This foundation is amazing for covering dark acne spots, discoloration, and creating an even skin tone. It blends out easily and lasts all<\/em> day. If you’re not a full-coverage girl, use a dampened beauty sponge to ease up on the coverage for a more natural finish.<\/p>\n

Formula: Combination-Oily<\/em><\/p>\n

3. MAYBELLINE \\\\ AGE REWIND CONCEALER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The concealer blends beautifully and covers any imperfections and marks. I love using a lighter color under the eyes and then a skin tone color to hide any blemishes.<\/p>\n

Shades: Light, Neutralizer<\/em><\/p>\n

4. MAYBELLINE \\\\ FIT ME LOOSE FINSIHING POWDER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

This finishing powder has a great texture and finish, leaving the skin matte but not overly dry. It’s my drugstore dupe of the Laura Mercier loose powder. In the summer, I’ll only use this for my under-eye area after my concealer.<\/p>\n

Shade: Fair<\/em><\/p>\n

5. L’OR\u00c9AL \\\\ TRUE MATCH POWDER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

This is a great compact for your purse whenever you need a quick touch-up. I don’t tend to use the applicators that come with compact makeup, but I found myself using the sponge to quickly press out any oily parts of my t-zone throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Shade: Fair<\/em><\/p>\n

COLOR<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. PHYSICIAN’S FORMULA \\\\ BUTTER BRONZER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

It actually smells so delish! This sweet and complimenting bronzer will give you a natural glow from within. Apply in a 3 and C motion on the perimeter of the face and you’ll be a sun-kissed goddess.<\/p>\n

2. MILANI \\\\ BAKED BLUSH<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

These baked blushes have the best texture, luminosity and color payoff. Apply a small amount to the cheeks for a pretty youthfulness. I just ran out of my other favorite shade, Luminoso, but that’s also a fantastic peachy shade that’s perfect for this time of year!<\/p>\n

Shade: Corallina<\/em><\/p>\n

HIGHLIGHTER<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. ESSENCE \\\\ PURE NUDE HIGHLIGHTER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

This highlighter is beautifully natural with just one swipe, and can also be built up to create a blinding glow. It’s the perfect product to dip your toes in if you’re new to highlighter!<\/p>\n

2. NYX \\\\ DUO CHROMATIC ILLUMINATING POWDER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you enjoy hallographic-type highlighters, you’ll love this one. It gives all the celestial and galactic vibes, perfect for music festival season for your face or all over the body.<\/p>\n

Shade: Snow Rose<\/em><\/p>\n

EYES<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. ESSENCE \\\\ WATERPROOF EYELINER PEN<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

This is the cheapest and one of the best liquid liners I’ve tried for only $3! The felt tip is very sturdy, which is perfect if you want to get that crisp and sharp winged liner.<\/p>\n

2. NYX \\\\ ALWAYS KEEPIN’ IT TIGHT EYELINER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

These are the best retractable eyeliner pencils! The tip is thin enough to get right up in the upper and bottom water lines, creating an intense and precise effect. I have both black and brown for when I want a more intense look for night or a more subdued look for every day.<\/p>\n

Shades: Black, Brown<\/em><\/p>\n

3. L’OR\u00c9AL \\\\ VOLUMINOUS LASH PARADISE MASCARA<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you’re looking for a buildable mascara that gives major volume, then this mascara is for you! I like how the brush head fits on the entire lash line, so that all you have to do is wiggle it slightly to get your entire lash coated.<\/p>\n

Shade: Blackest Black\u00a0(Waterproof)<\/em><\/p>\n

LIPS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. NYX \\\\ ALL OVER BALM<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

After cleansing and moisturizing my face, I always go in with some sort of lip moisturizer to start off my makeup routine. This balm is great for your lips, cuticles and hair as well (click here<\/a> for another post featuring this product)!<\/p>\n

Formula: Coconut Oil<\/em><\/p>\n

2. REVLON \\\\ ULTRA HD MATTE LIPCOLOR<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The matte finish of this product is not overly-drying, and the doe-foot applicator is big enough to make application easy and fast. The formula is really light, and dries quickly so it doesn’t even feel like anything’s on. The color payoff is creamy and opaque, leaving an intense pop of color to last all day.<\/p>\n

Shades: Passion, Seduction<\/em><\/p>\n

3. L’OR\u00c9AL \\\\ COLOUR RICHE LIPSTICK<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The texture and moisture of the formula prevent cracking on the lips. It feels so creamy to put them on, and the color lasts for hours.<\/p>\n

Shade: Saucy Mauve<\/em><\/p>\n

4. MAYBELLINE \\\\ SUPERSTAY MATTE INK<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

These are the newest addition to my makeup collection, and they are a new favorite! The texture of this formula is light, creamy and non-drying. I slap on this color at night to instantly transform a simple day-look to a makeup look fit for any night out on the town.<\/p>\n

Shade: Amazonian<\/em><\/p>\n

5. REVLON \\\\ SUPER LUSTROUS LIPGLOSS<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Last but not least, an oldie but a gooooodie. I’ve been wearing this shade since high school, and it’s the perfect “your lips but better” shade. You can wear this alone or pair it on top of literally anything to give your lips that juicy effect.<\/p>\n
