It’s summer time and it’s all<\/em> about that glowy complexion. As someone who has had oily\/combination skin her whole life, I was hesitant at first to try highlighters and other products that claimed to make you look “dewy”. So to all my sista’s out there, any skin type, let’s embrace<\/em> the glow and shine to the gods! Start With An Illuminating Primer<\/h3>\n

NYX’s Angel Veil Primer<\/a> is an amazing primer that will give your skin a light glow from the start. (Click here<\/a> to check out another post featuring this primer!) If you don’t like wearing heavy foundations or don’t want to wear any that day, slap on a little primer to give your skin a slightly blurred effect. Primers even out complexions and this one will highlight the high points of your face like your cheekbones and tip of your nose.<\/p>\n

Go All Out With A Glowy Foundation<\/h3>\n

For an insanely beautiful finish, you have\u00a0got <\/em>to try the\u00a0Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum<\/a>Revlon Colorstay Foundation<\/a>! (Click here<\/a> to check out my post on my Favorite Foundations!) It is one of my holy grails of 2018, and I wear it nearly every day because I love how my skin looks. Since it’s a serum, it’s going to be thinner than a standard foundation would be. I like to mix it with other foundations if I need more coverage. But for every day, I typically just use the Serum and then concealer for any blemishes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Use Highlighters<\/h3>\n
\n

I’ll admit-I did not jump on the highlighter trend when it first blew up. I was already taking measures to make my skin appear more matte, so I thought I wasn’t going to be into looking dewy at all. However, the first time I swiped a bit of highlighter on my cheek, I was so surprised at how much I liked it! It gives your skin that ultimate youthfulness and really makes you look so healthy<\/em>. Apply a bit to the high points of your cheeks, brow bone, tip of your nose and cupid’s bow. My favorites are the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop<\/a>, and the Lorac Light Source Illuminating Highlighter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Finish Your Look With A Dewy Setting Spray<\/h3>\n
\n

Everyone is obsessed with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray<\/a>, but the MAC Prep & Prime Fix +<\/a> spray is where it’s\u00a0at<\/em> for glowy skin! I like to apply the Urban Decay spray first to completely set my makeup, and then I’ll apply the MAC Fix + spray towards the high points of my cheeks. I avoid the t-zone because I already get pretty oily there, so the Fix + is an added extra that intensifies the highlighter.<\/p>\n
