Hello beautiful people!

I hope you’re having an amazing start to your week. 🙂

Last week I tried to push myself with sharing more of my days on Instagram stories, which to be honest made me a little nervous. Even though I choose to put myself out there online, it is still very scary. I feel like I do better in one-on-one interactions with people so I can really get to know them, see their body language, hear their tone, and gage their facial reactions. Portraying myself to an online community feels daunting at times because it feels like I’m throwing myself into a large space filled with many unknowns and people’s opinions that might not all be positive.

Ultimately, I found that when I finally took the plunge and just did the damn thing, the incredible feeling of overcoming my fear overshadowed the fear itself. It took months to muster up the courage to even do so, and it still feels really foreign to put myself out there everyday. But I’m a firm believer that if you really want to reach your goals, you will find a way to overcome your fears. I wanted to share this for all you boss b*tches out there and to let you know that it’s okay to encounter fear and feel it in its entirety. It doesn’t mean that you’re weak, not good enough, or not fit for the path you’ve set. It just means that you’re human, and that you’re bound to encounter some hurdles. We’re all in this together! ♡

Now on to this gorgeous tie peplum top from Love, Fire! I feel like this top is so great for so many body types because you can customize it and make it super comfortable for you. If you want it more tight fitting, then tie it tighter. If you want to layer some pieces under like a lacy bralette, t-shirt or tank top, then you have the option to make it looser to show them off. I don’t know about you, but I love functionality and versatility when it comes to my clothes. Dresses with pockets? Yes. Reversible belts? Yes. Multiple sizing options like this top? Hell yes!

Other details I love about this top are the ruffled sleeves and light color. The sleeves are so airy and delicate, which offer this romantic and girly feel that I am obsessed with. It feels so dainty when they sway in the wind as you walk, and gives you that extra feminine touch in your step. The creamy blue/green pastel is also soooo pretty, especially when styled in a light outfit. I stuck to high-waisted white jeans cuffed at the bottom to emulate that casual-beachy vibe, and finished the look off with my trusty Born mules to elongate my litto legs. To all my shorties out there-nude mules will be your literal besties! I wear them almost every day (alternating with my other babies, the Birkenstock Gizeh) if I want to be a little dressier, but remain super comfortable.
For accessories, I kept it simple because of my petite frame. Again, to all my shorties: less jewelry will help you look lighter and not weighed down since you’re already itty bitty! There are some looks that look amazing with a lot of jewelry, but this beachy look felt simple to me so I kept in that realm.

Thank you so much for spending some time here on LVV. As always, I’ve linked a bunch of cute options below so you can give yourself that love that you deserve and feel amazing in a gorgeous outfit! Since I started this post on the topic of pushing through hurdles, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes by one of my favorite boss ladies:

“Do one thing every day that scares you.” -Eleanor Roosevelt

Beautiful post & blog!! I feel your pain about the IG stories, I want to begin talking to my audience through my stories but can’t muster up the courage to do so & the sound of my own voice on camera makes me cringe lol! But hopefully I’ll get there!

Thank you so much! Honestly, I practiced a couple times just to get used to hearing myself talk in a video. I think the more you practice, the less “new” aka scary it’ll be! Even if it seems weird in the beginning, just go for it one day and keep encouraging yourself. It’s all about being kind to yourself during the process! I believe in you 🙂 <3
