White has been my new go-to color this year. It instantly brings a pop of freshness to any look and is a different basic from the regular black or blue denim jean. Since I’m short, almost all my jeans are high-waisted to create the illusion of longer legs like this BDG cropped culotte from Urban Outfitters. High-waisted bottoms are also great because they allow you to play around with more cropped tops without having to bear it all for the world to see.
I thrifted this crochet top from Buffalo Exchange, which is a vintage clothing store where you can buy, sell or trade quality vintage items. I frequent the Fullerton, CA location and always walk out with unique pieces that I am in love with!
If you’re someone who loves finding one-of-a-kind items at reasonable and affordable prices, you have to check out the nearest Buffalo Exchange near you. (Click here to see the hundreds of locations they have nationwide.) PS-This post isn’t sponsored at all; I just love Buffalo Exchange and want to share it with you all!
I fell in love with this top because of the crochet detailing. I love that even though it’s essentially just a black and white top, the crochet adds a great texture that makes the outfit interesting. The tassels along the bottom are also really fun because they move with every step you take. It’s simple but enticing.
The tassels are also a lifesaver because the added length keeps my mid-section a little more concealed. I’m all for a cute bellybutton moment, but this makes it more appropriate to wear to “fancier” places!
I’ve had these earrings for forever; I can’t even remember where they are from! I linked a lot of similar options for you below though, so no worries. 😉 I chose to keep it pretty neutral but bold with these statement earrings. They add a touch of elegance and glamour that I think the look needs since it’s so simple.
And last but not least, my trusty Steve Madden Fame heels. (Click here to see another look with these bad boys!) The lower heel makes this shoe perfect for meetings around the city, a chic date night at a yummy restaurant, or even dancing with your girlfriends. I love how I feel when I put these shoes on…I feel confident and ready to take on whatever the day has in store for me.
Thanks so much for sticking around today! If you liked this look and needed some shopping inspiration, I’ve already done the work for you. Scroll down to see different options at varying price points so you can recreate your own white out moment.
Now I want to know-Are you into crop tops more more into covering up? I used to live in crop tops while I was in college, but as I’m getting older I just don’t feel the same way about them. Funny how our preferences change as we change, huh? Let’s talk in the comments!
