We finally hosted our reception dinner at Callaway Winery's Meritage Restaurant in Temecula, CA. Wes and I met at a summer camp in Temecula when we were just kids, so we thought celebrating our marriage at a winery there would be the perfect nod to our first meeting. Callway and the camp are actually just 9 miles away from each other, so we were literally right by the location. Temecula is also known for its wineries, so it went with the vintage Italian villa/winery vibes that we were going for from our elopement earlier this year. My Pinterest board had all of the inspiration that I was pulling from for the florals, mirror signs, and even my attire, and it was so satisfying to see everything come to life. If you notice in the detail shots, we used some of the same props like the music sheets, kalimba (thumb piano), book, bouquet, and photos taken from our elopement on the tables at our reception dinner as decor. I just love when things go together, match, or adhere to a theme - especially for these bridal events.
The dinner was an intimate and formal all black tie affair with 20 of our closest loved ones (click here to read about our legal marriage date), and included certain aspects of a wedding reception like a first dance, father-daughter dance, speeches and cake "cutting". After the formal activities and dinner, a party bus took us to a local karaoke bar and we sang our hearts out all night. Wes and I started off by singing "In The End" by Linkin Park, and then us girls sang "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood and "Dancing Queen" by ABBA" - two of my favorite kaoraoke songs - so I was a happy girl.

Since we had a few friends staying the night after our dinner, we decided to make it a mini "wedding weekend". We made lunch reservations at Robert Renzoni Winery's Mamma Rosa Trattoria restaurant, and then a wine tasting after in their large tasting room. We even loved the wine so much that we each took a bottle home. Wes and I stayed at The Carter Estate over the weekend and headed home on Monday full of amazing food and wine, lots of love, and new memories made. We also had everyone take photos on disposable cameras over the weekend so I can make scrapbooks later on, so maybe I'll do an updated YouTube video and/or blog post showing you the developed images in a few weeks.
