One of my favorite tips for the holidays is incorporating timeless neutrals into your style and letting color pop through in details like accessories, makeup, and/or nail polish. I'm wearing Malaga Wine by OPI on my nails and it's one of the most beautiful cherry red's I've ever seen (this color was actually the initial inspiration behind the rest of my holiday decor being accented with maroon ribbon this year; click here to see my Holiday board on Pinterest).
I also think picking neutral pieces like this new Target ribbed tank dress will serve you well in the long run because they will be great transitional pieces going into spring. You can style this dress under cardigans and with boots during the colder months like I did in this video, and then you can wear the dress by itself with a sleek bun and sexy strappy sandals during the warmer months. My mantra will always be to pick pieces that are going to be versatile and timeless so you can create as many different looks with the same pieces as you can. Plus keeping your closet in similar tones will help take the guess work out of picking outfits that compliment each other on a tonal level.
