With eating healthy, I actively choose to think of it as adding nutritious foods I love into my diet rather than taking away the “bad stuff”. I find that this way, I have a more positive and open outlook towards eating healthy as a long-term lifestyle choice. In other words, it’s never about deprivation, but rather a quest to find wholesome foods you love.

Once you get the hang of your “base”, smoothies are so easy and fast to make. My go-to smoothie stars a frozen berry medley from Trader Joe’s. The thick almond milk and frozen fruit make the most delicious and creamy texture. Adding hemp hearts will make this not only healthy, but filling as well!

*Extra tip: Use steel straws to reduce waste! I purchased mine off Amazon and use them every single day.
