BLACK-OWNED BEAUTY BRANDS I’M LOVING

Hey there, cuties! Welcome to La Vita Vivi. 

Similar to my most recent post, I wanted to continue the #blacklivesmatter conversation on my platforms and highlight some more of my favorite black-owned brands – but this time in the beauty space! One of the most sustainable ways we can support the black community is to invest our dollars into their businesses. Even though the recent pandemic has caused many people to be much more frugal than before (myself included), consider reaching for a product made by a black-owned business the next time you need to replenish any of your everyday beauty items. This way, the transition will be slow enough that you’re not breaking the bank – while still allowing you to support our friends in the black community! 

Now on to what you’re really here for – all the beauty goodies! I have a brand that I've been loving for years and then some more that I've recently become obsessed with, so I'm excited to share these items with you.

Product Review: I was on the lookout for a new loose powder, and was recommended to try out Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder by one of my besties and resident beauty guru of the group – Bri! (Click here to check out her beauty Youtube channel! You should totally subscribe if you love makeup – especially skincare!) I chose the color “Lavender” since I prefer a one-stop shop with my powder, meaning that I don't mind a finishing powder that is also brightening since I can balance the whole look out with blush and bronzer anyways.

Speaking of bronzer, I also picked up Fenty’s Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer (not pictured since it came after I shot these photos) per Bri’s recommendation as well and love it!

Lastly, I have to shout out Fenty's gloss bomb because it is absolutely gorgeous on everyone and makes your lips look so much plumper just from the shine.

Product Review: If you are in need of an amazing lip scrub – look no further! I had my friends try this lip scrub out too and they all said their favorite thing about it was that after they scrubbed, their lips felt so much more soft and moisturized.

Couldn't link the exact lip scrub (Supa Scrub Set), but was able to find their famous lip masks for us to try!
